John Hawkins


John has provided tax services to individuals, corporations, trusts, estates and tax-exempt organizations since he joined Grove, Mueller & Swank in 1986.

A member of the American Institute of CPAs, the American Bar Association, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Oregon Society of CPAs (2015-2017), John is a frequent speaker on tax topics before realtor groups, CPA continuing education classes and for the Chemeketa Small Business Program.

John holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Willamette University’s College of Law and is licensed as a CPA and attorney in Oregon.

John believes in giving back to his community. Over the years, he has served as president and treasurer of the Willson House and Jason Lee Manor retirement centers; as treasurer for the Oregon Technical Assistance Corporation, which assists individuals with disabilities; as president and treasurer of the Oregon Symphony Association in Salem; and as president of Friends of Marion and Polk County Court Appointed Special Advocates.
